At LYS Studio, we honor the natural beauty and imperfection of wood. Many of our works are made from solid cherry or oak boards — curved by steam, shaped by hand, and left wild-edged as nature intended.

We preserve each knot, grain, and curve — not to hide it, but to reveal its history. Our bentwood techniques allow us to shape large solid boards (up to 3–4 meters long) without cutting them into pieces.

These sculptural forms are born from nature’s asymmetry, not against it. In each object, we protect a moment in time — a tree that once grew freely in Ukrainian forests now lives on, carved into emotion.

With deforestation increasing globally and Ukraine’s forests under threat, we choose to work slowly, consciously, and respectfully. Every slab we bend is one we honor.

This sculptural series is rooted in the rich layers of folk symbolism and handmade heritage. Each object is more than furniture — it’s a narrative, shaped by hand, rooted in culture, and brought to life through carved form.
