“Temptation”
side tables are art objects that invite curiosity and desire — much like the turning points in historical novels, where beauty and drama intertwine. They are a study in contrast: elegant yet bold, sculptural yet functional, timeless yet unexpected.
Their most striking feature is the base — a faceted, cup-shaped form created from intersecting planes. It is both a structural support and a symbolic vessel, echoing the chalice of celebration, the offering bowl, and the fruit of temptation. In one scene, it might hold apples, in another — smooth river stones, glass spheres, or any other objects the owner chooses. Whatever fills it becomes part of the table’s ongoing story, changing its mood and meaning.
From certain angles, the tables appear clothed in a graceful wooden “mantle”; from others, they reveal the transparency of the chalice-leg, as if unveiling a secret. This play of opposites — open and closed, light and solid, revealing and concealing — defines their character.
